Job description
Are you an experienced engagement specialist who would relish working on exciting, high-profile projects?
We are looking for a new Head of Engagement to lead our external affairs strategy. It’s an exciting time to join with this senior role driving strategic engagement for the brand-new qualifications being introduced for all 14-16-year-olds in Wales from September.
Leading a team of five strategic engagement specialists, you will plan and implement Qualifications Wales’ engagement calendar, enabling us to build communities and maintain effective, transparent relationships.
A natural facilitator, you will understand how best to inform and engage our diverse audiences - including learners, parents, awarding bodies, schools, colleges, universities, training providers, employers and elected representatives – and key partners across the Welsh education sector.
Alongside our Head of Communications, you will shape our corporate story to build and maintain public confidence in the Welsh qualifications system. As a member of our Senior Leadership Group, you will need the skills and experience to provide informed advice and constructive challenge.
As external events are held bilingually, the ability to speak Cymraeg is essential. If you’re just learning or can speak it but have never used Cymraeg at work, please consider applying. As a bilingual organisation, we can offer support to those wanting to enhance their language skills.
If you would like to help strengthen our voice, cultivate meaningful relationships and dialogue, and be part of a warm and collaborative work community, we’d like to hear from you.
