Are you a communications professional looking for a new challenge?
We're looking for a communications officer with experience of delivering high quality and effective internal communications and staff engagement events to join the communications team.
You'll play a key role in helping to deliver our existing programme of work as well as developing new and innovative approaches.
It is an exciting role that demands someone with dedication, creative flair and naturally-good people skills. You'll be customer focused and be able to tailor and adapt internal communications, and staff engagement activity, to engage audiences across our diverse workforce.
The role will include planning and delivering digital communications, the staff newsletter, staff engagement events, staff awards, securing event sponsorship and developing the Council's intranet.
As part of the Council's Communications and Customers Service, you'll work closely with colleagues at all levels in the organisation. The ability to quickly build rapport with colleagues and develop effective working relationships is essential, as is the ability to organise and prioritise a busy workload.
You'll be confident working independently and using your own initiative as well as working effectively as part of a team. As a communications professional, you'll understand the value of evaluating your work, sharing the learning and using it to help shape future activity.
The role also carries the potential opportunity to gain a fully-funded, nationally-recognised qualification.
