up for the cup: august's top posts

Well August is historically a quieter month for the old web traffic, with you good people disappearing to every corner of the globe, and Weston-Super-Mare. But actually last month was really busy. And we had a surprise number one in the comms2point0 hit parade.

We like to think that we have a little something for everyone on the site these days. Last month's most read posts underlined that range of tidy little case studies and learning.

And competition for one of our prestigious little plastic cups remains high. You simply cannot buy one from eBay. No way. You have to write a belting little post which lots of folk read. Easy peasy.

So, the top five, in our usual reverse order...

At five, was the returning Why gov.uk is the best sight on the web by Dave Thackeray

In at four was the very useful Have you overlooked visual communications tools by Michelle Evans

Perched in at three was a recent ever present by Emma Rodgers - The people using Twitter are changing

For the second month running, Vienna-like, was, Steve Finegan's How social media plays havoc with business continuity.

But the winner came from nowhere, right at the end of the month with a stack of views, courtesy of the very talented Paul Taylor and his change-prompting post - 5 unexpected benefits of being a social organisation. A shiny, plastic 69p cup is on its way in the post to you, Sir.

Well done and thanks to all.
